| Cotgrave
FC were formed in 1946, playing in the South Notts Realm
league and the Notts & District League, the opening of
their Colliery in 1968 meant an eventual amalgamation between
the Welfare side and the original set up in 1983. After
changing their name to Cotgrave United they also moved into
their present home at Woodview. Over twenty years since,
including spells in three different league associations and
three name changes later, (including latterly Cotgrave Colliery Welfare
United) Cotgrave Welfare FC have
four senior teams, two becoming founder members of the NSL,
with the clubs first team winning the Senior League title in
2006/07. |
