Newark Flowserve
were founded as J Simpson & co in 1901 beginning life in the
Newark League. In 1935 they changed there name to Worthington
Simpson playing in the Notts Spartan League before joining the Notts
Alliance. The club won two Alliance Senior Division titles and five
Alliance Cup finals before changing their name to IP Newark then
Newark Flowserve in 2001. In 2004 the club joined the Central
Midlands League before joining the NSL in 2009 but their first team
lasted just three months before folding due to player losses. The
Academy side still goes strong. Still known as 'Simmo's
locally, the clubs Lowfields ground is one of the finest playing
