Not
only one of the oldest clubs in Nottinghamshire, Radcliffe Olympic
are one of the oldest clubs in world football being formed in 1876.
In 1901 Radcliffe became Notts Alliance Champions for the first
time, the club enjoyed relative success and silverware in the
thirties and forties but it was in the 1960's that they achieved
great success. In a six year period the club won three MAA league
titles the Central Alliance League title and the East Midlands
Regional League First Division as well as the MAA Senior Cup. The
club, amongst other trophies has since won the Notts Alliance
Senior Division (also winning the Cup in the same year) in 2003
before merging with local set up ASC Dayncourt. The following year
they won the Central Midlands Premier Division with the second team
winning the Reserve Division One. In 2006/07 the club first
participated in the FA Vase and were crowned Central Midlands
Supreme Champions for the first time in 2008/09. The first team now
play in the East Midlands Counties League with the Reserves housed
in the NSL. |
